Building Small Home With Home Grown Concept
When we plant a small tree, we can see that after long time this small tree grow up become big tree. Small become big. Can we adapt this phenomena in our home. Absolutely, Itâ€™s possible. On architecture science, itâ€™s called home grown concept. By this concept, we build small home and then we add new building or room, and it makes our home become wider. Itâ€™s similar with that tree growth. For some reasons, many people build small home. Several reasons here are they have no kids, they are young couple, less budget for building big home, land size is small, and so on. No matter what the reasons, itâ€™s possible to adapt home grown concept on small home building plans. So, what will we prepare for adapting this concept?
The answer for that question is construction. We have to prepare strong construction for two ways possibilities on next future. For some reasons, this home will be widen into left side, right side, back side or even we will build new room on loft or second floor tier. Since at first time these small home building plans must be prepared for these possibilities. Important part here in on foundation and iron type as skeleton. If someday we will build new room on loft, this home foundation must able endure all of weight. By building new room on loft, this weight will be bigger and more weight. This home foundation must able support this condition. It must be dig in deeper again. Itâ€™s for anticipating from several possibility such as earthquake.
Beside that these small home building plans must have stronger column and sloof for supporting new room on loft. So, on every places where new room will be built, all of column and sloof must use iron type with diameter bigger than iron type for single floor tier. This is critical factor. The existing of iron rods as home skeleton are very important. Without this iron rods, this home construction will not strength.
Both of whether this home will be widen into up or side direction, on the edge of every column and sloof must be given residual iron rods. Let it keep in this condition for years. When we will build new building, it will be useful. This residual iron rods will be connected with new iron rods from new column and sloof. The existing of this residual iron rods can make new building in strong construction. Without this residual iron rods, we will meet difficulty to build new building in this position, especially on loft position. It will be serious problem later. So, itâ€™s better if we prepare all of possibilities from now.
